Recently, the Fieldstone Homes Operations Team participated in helping the Utah Chapter of the NAHB Professional Women in Building design and build a home in Saratoga Springs. The Utah Chapter of the NAHB Professional Women in Building is designing and constructing a home that will be showcased in the 2021 Utah Valley Parade of Homes. The goal for this home is to highlight and utilize women professionals, skilled tradeswomen, and women-owned companies for all stages of the project.
The SHE built design team, comprised of skilled draftswomen, designers and engineers have completed plans for a two-story home with approximately 3,200 square feet of living space including a finished basement. The eclectic, contemporary farmhouse style of The House That SHE Built represents the collaboration of the women in our industry and the varied talents and abilities of each.
"The goal for this home is to highlight and utilize women professionals, skilled tradeswomen, and women-owned companies and bring them all together to bring awareness to women in construction and trade work. When the house is finished it will be showcased in the 2021 Utah Valley Parade Of homes, and proceeds of the home will be donated to scholarships awarded to women pursuing construction management related degrees or trade school programs. Proceeds are also going to be donated to a local women centric charity," said Ashley Burbidge, the Purchasing Agent as Fieldstone Homes.
"On this day in particular we went to donate our time to help complete the finishes of the home. We had our amazing Talia staining a statement shiplap wall. Heather and Ely installed vents through out the home. Ashley and Holly caulked. We all collectively carried large bags of cement and brick and just had the best time ever," said Ashley.
Fieldstone Homes loves working to help others in our community. Giving back is something that we cherish, especially when we can do it as a team.
