Fieldstone Homes is joining with the Utah Food Bank to host a virtual food drive, encouraging employees, trade partners, home buyers, and the general public to donate funds to feed those struggling during the COVID-19 pandemic.
SALT LAKE CITY, Utah - May 5th, 2020 –
From May 4, 2020 through June 5, 2020, Fieldstone Homes and its charitable foundation, “Partners in Hope,” are teaming up with the Utah Food Bank to feed individuals and families in the community struggling to put food on the table during the COVID-19 pandemic. As one of Utah’s most highly-ranked and trusted home builders, with a history of community support spanning more than 20 years, Fieldstone Homes recognizes the importance of giving back.
"Our hearts go out to the many individuals and families that have encountered stress and difficulty during these unprecedented times. Certainly these are challenging circumstances for all, but there are many who, right now, are in need even of basic necessities. We want to help,” says Troy Gabler, President of Fieldstone Homes. "We admire the great work that the Utah Food Bank does every day to help those in our community. Fieldstone’s charitable foundation, "Partners is Hope," is eager to partner with this great organization to help those who may be struggling.”
Fieldstone is utilizing the Utah Food Bank’s innovative “Virtual Food Drive” online portal to facilitate donations. This digital approach not only provides the opportunity for the company’s employees, subcontractors, vendors, and buyers to participate, but also allows the general public to get involved in the fundraising efforts.
To kick things off, the company’s charitable foundation will be donating a straight $7,500 to the virtual food drive. The foundation will then donate an additional $250 for every new home sale contract and $250 for every home sale that closes through June 5th. In addition, the foundation will match Fieldstone employees’ donations up to $5,000.
Fieldstone’s Virtual Food Drive page is on the Utah Food Bank’s website at the following link: https://bit.ly/FieldstoneVirtualFoodDrive. Anyone who would like to participate is welcome to make a donation throughout the month of May. Fieldstone is aspiring, with the help and generosity of the community, to reach a total amount donated of $20,000. All funds raised will go directly to support feeding hungry Utahns.
